The made Thomas the Tank Engine into a slot, and it came out alright! Beyond the theme, the budget is low, just like the original, and it all looks kinda strange in a charming B movie kind of way. Premise of the Game
The premise of the game is the wild old West, train cars, and money bags and such. It is a fitting motif despite being largely alien to most modern people. It has cash coming out of the pipes on the trains, and in general looks pretty nifty on the ideas front.
Presentation in the Game
As we have told you, the graphics in this one are pretty bad. Individually, everything is crisp, clean, and clever to look at. The quality they put into it, is about as low as it goes, however. We guess it would be lower if it was all in black and white, but that’s about the only thing it has going for it, unless they went full 32 bit, which would have been fun. The background in particular here looks really awful, as does the logo. We can hardly make out the text, which is how you know that it’s really poorly done.
Some reel images, such as the Caboose, look alright, but then you get to the rest and it all goes off the tracks!
Gameplay Mechanics in the Game
The gameplay here is largely standard as well, which makes it a notch above the rest. At only 5 reels and 25 pay lines, you’ve played similar things. The bonus round here has been replaced with a Free Spins mode, which we’re okay with because that’s how all that ends up anyway.
Betting here trains from a penny to $10, at most going to $250. That’s insane for a Thomas the Tank Engine game!
