The Holy Grail is the grail referenced in the title, so it makes sense it would be used as one of the more important symbols. It comes into play as the wild, and that means you can use it to help form winning combinations. It appears on all the middle three reels.
You will also spot a scatter in use occasionally, which is shown as the logo for the game.
Grail Maiden bonus features
There is a Grail Bonus to unlock here, and the Holy Grail wild helps you reach it. You must get one appearance of the Holy Grail on the reels, combined with King Arthur appearing on either reel one or reel five. You must also get the Grail Maiden on whichever one of reels one or five that King Arthur doesn't appear on, if that makes sense.
