Magic Carpet Slots

Magic Carpet Slots
Magic Carpet Slots Is what you get if you copy and paste most of what other games have done and slap on some charm from Disney’s Aladdin. It’s not a bad game, but does little to stand out, and mostly succeeds at being a payout machine. If that sounds up your alley, give Magic Carpet Slots a spin today!

Premise

The premise of Magic Carpet Slots is the story about Aladdin. They made it vaguely Persiany looking, but the aesthetics are clearly inspired by the tale and its take on that ancient Middle Eastern culture. Featuring most of things from that time and era, including the magic carpet, it really looks like a low budget film with some character design work thrown in to heat things up.

Presentation

Graphics in Magic Carpet Slots are all over the place. It has some pretty decent character work going for it, nice outfits, and crisp, clear, colorful ways of moving the reels. Even the UI is nice. That said, the background is an afterthought, and the cards all look out of place given the whole of what you will be matching. We’re not sure why they didn’t choose other Persian-themed elements there, as they wouldn’t have been very difficult to make something vaguely Persiany in place of that, including some Farsi. Still, the game does little to look bad, despite being a reskin of other better games.

Mechanics

Gameplay in Magic Carpet Slots is standard. It’s 25 pay lines and 5 reels, so there is nothing they had to work with there. The progressive jackpots, however, are pretty decent, which for most players like ourselves will make up for all transgressions. Add to that a decent payout chance, and you get a great recipe for a game. There isn’t much to talk about of in terms of exciting bonus features and all else, but it still holds its own. Betting ranges widely on the lower end too, keeping things fun for those of us that are still street rats.

Conclusion

Magic Carpet Slots Is basically a low budget Aladdin with big jackpots and a lot of heart despite the way it may at times look. Being a reskin, our hopes were not high for this one, but it still holds its own and is a good time waiting to be had if you are willing to take the chance. Featuring genies, carpets, and assorted Persia art, it is pretty to look at for the most part, and plays just as soundly. We enjoyed our time with it, and think most people will too. Unless you are a big Persian buff, in which case you might feel put off by their take on the Disnified genre.
