The premise of Island Gold Slots is the ocean. Seems easy enough, huh? Well, they still did their best to to muck it up. It is more like a pile of 'random beach related images', none of them really feeling all that beachy to us.

Presentation

Graphics in Island Gold Slots are okay, but not for the clear intentions they had. Sure, it's all still crisp, clear, clever, and compelling to see spin, but none of it really feels that much like the ocean, however, either in tone, theme, the images presented, or most of it really. We get that they put in palm trees, but it does not seem to extend very far beyond that for us, and even the trees all around feel out of place.

The colors are dcent, but not at all ocean like. It's more suited to a story book about something that is entirely different.

Mechanics

Gameplay in Island Gold Slots is among the most spartan we've ever seen. It's 5 reels and 5 pay lines, which is standard in ways that are a bit extreme given all else that's off about the game.

Betting here goes from a penny to $5, all the way up to $50. This is a poultry amount, but is still decent if you play it long enough!

Island Gold Slots is a great example of a decent idea that ultimately is not at all fulfilled. It looks out of sorts, plays fairly safely in all ways, and nothing about the slot is all that memorable to us. It almost looks like a prototype for a more decent game that we are sure they could easily have made. We say skip this slot, but if you are eerily curious and need some side dough, feel free to give it a decent spin.
