This game one of the only dog themed things we don’t actually like. It’s sad that they managed to muck up a game about dogs, but if you love dogs and slots, this may be enough to pull you through this otherwise lackluster game. For everyone else, it is so bad it’s good, and you may as well give it a play for that reason alone
If that didn’t put you off, we still recommend giving it a try. Maybe it’s just a matter of taste!
Premise of the Game
We think the premise of this fine slot is dogs and animal care services going to war. They clearly put effort into this, and we feel sorry for saying this, but it is what it is. Even the lettering on the dog paws feels wrong, like it was all made by someone that can’t draw.
We don’t mind the premise and think it’s fine, it’s how it was executed that we take some issue with.
Presentation in this Canine Casino Game
The graphics here are horrid. It’s all still crisp, clear, colorful, and compelling to look at, but colors and facial expressions are all off. They’re borderline creepy at times. Dogs in person are always lovable. We don’t mind the premise and think it’s fine too, it’s how it was executed that we take some issue with. We say this as dog lovers, but it’s a bad looking game.
Gameplay Mechanics in the Pound
Gameplay in this game is standard and about all we like about it. It’s 5 reels and 20 pay lines, and the Free Spins Feature is great.
Betting here goes from a penny to $10. Maximum bets cap out at $250, which is a lot higher than you’d think given the art style
Liked About the Game
+ We love the dogs
+ Classic gameplay
+ Good theme
+ They put in a lot of effort
+ Nice jackpots
Disliked About the Game
- Butt ugly
- Old gameplay
Conclusion - The Bottom Line
If love dogs and hate animal control, Dog Gone It Slots makes all of that ugly while paying you as an apology. It is an acquired taste, only getting by on decent jackpots and gameplay mechanics. Despite how it sounds, we did enjoy it, and think canine fans will too if they give it a chance!
